![]() ![]() What I Didn’t Love: I really don’t have anything to say in this section. I absolutely sped through the story and I did not ever want to stop reading. Also, it was such and easy and quick read. ![]() There were so many fun and quirky characters that I absolutely adored. Really, the whole entire cast of characters was amazing. They were just the parental figures that Ruby needed. They were soooo good to Ruby throughout the whole book. What I Loved: I LOVED Ruby’s older sister, Cora, and Cora’s husband, Jamie. This book tells the story of Ruby’s hardships and the many trials that she has to face. Because of this, Ruby is forced to live with her older sister, who had left the house 10 years prior because of their abusive mother. Ruby managed to live on her own for two weeks before their landlord found out and contacted CPS. One day, Ruby’s mom just left without any word of where she was going. She is never able to keep a job which forces Rub to take care of herself. Her mom is always drunk, high, or asleep. Synopsis:Ruby is a seventeen year old girl who has grown up with a mom who is always out partying. But when I wrote that tag, I had not yet read Lock and Key.
